The values of God's kingdom are upside
down - many who are first will be last, and the
last will be first - or so it will seem to the eyes
of those who have not yet tasted the goodness of that
kingdom.
If
is truly to be a collaborative venture, it will not
always be easy - or right - to control what is said in
the discussion area associated with the two-weekly
newsletter. Likewise, those who
participate may wish to influence teaching and
discussion material that is ‘posted’ on the site.
But some of Peter Nicholls’ own views (follow this who?
link) are encapsulated below and will hold some sway on
the site in its early days:
|
will always seek to lift up the Lord Jesus Christ as
Son of God, saviour, teacher and example. This site will always take the Bible as God's
word, understood holistically and with the benefit
of God-given intelligence and scholarship, used in
the spirit of St Anselm's I believe in order that
I may understand. The site will seek to co-operate
with the Holy Spirit in furthering the kingdom of
God, and will seek to give God the glory for all
that he has done, is doing, and will do. Jesus
taught us to pray: Your kingdom come. Your
will be done, on earth as it is in heaven; we
will endeavour to co-operate in line with this
prayer. |
The site is privately funded.
It seeks ultimately to become self-supporting by
means of donations towards the cost of Connected
Community Learning course places. Course fees
are “suggested prices” but if you can't afford
the sum suggested, donations will be
invited on a “what you can afford” basis, Don't
miss a discipleship opportunity because you can't
afford it.
If you want to join a
course for less than the “suggested price”,
please use this link to
contact us.
God's kingdom embraces all of creation and by his
Spirit he is continually involved and active in it.
So information, learning and discussion on
may touch all of life, from the environment to
matters of social justice, from right relationships
to conflict resolution, from sexuality to
child-rearing.
